As Germany approaches a pivotal moment in its political landscape, we want to provide our community with insights into the country's political system, parties, and electoral process.
Dates: Friday, February 7 Time: 15:00 - 16:00 CET Location: Remote via Zoom
IMPRS-IS, in collaboration with the MPI-IS Culture Club, invites you to a one-hour interactive session exploring German Politics. Timed to coincide with the lead-up to the national elections, this event aims to inform and engage our doctoral community on key political themes and current developments.
This session will provide an overview of the German political system, major parties, election processes, and the social and economic issues shaping the current political debate. It will also highlight how these topics may impact academics, researchers, and international scholars in Germany.
Whether you're new to the German political system or seeking deeper context ahead of the elections, this session will be insightful and timely. There will also be ample opportunity for questions and discussion to foster a well-rounded understanding of the topic.
Stay informed and engaged as a member of the international academic community. Save the date! You do not need to register for this event. A link to join the online session will be shared on our community mailing lists.
What is Culture Club?
The MPI-IS Culture Club is a welcoming community for everyone! Spouses and partners are encouraged to join as well.
Relocating to a new country can be both exciting and challenging. Culture Club is here to help our international colleagues settle into life in Germany, offering a space to connect, share experiences, and navigate the transition with ease. Through our sessions, participants can meet new people, discuss intercultural topics, learn practical tips for life in Germany, and discover ways to make the most of their time in the Tübingen/Stuttgart area.
This group is not just for international colleagues—German nationals are also encouraged to attend! Whether you’re interested in meeting new people, discussing cultural topics, or simply socializing with peers, Culture Club is the perfect place to engage and connect.
We look forward to welcoming you!
