Though the working language of our school is English, we want our Ph.D. scholars to have the best quality of life while living Germany. Therefore, IMPRS-IS offers cost-free German courses to members of our community!
While living in Germany, basic knowledge of German can help one integrate within the local community. Additionally, scholars may wish to present themselves and their work in German.
Our German courses are on going. We have courses running now! Classes are twice per week (see dates and times below). The total duration of a course is one year. IMPRS-IS German courses are tailored to abilities and needs of our scholars, and we have worked hard on keeping the group sizes relatively low.
