The IMPRS-IS Soft Skills Seminar Series team, is offering full-day version of our workshop on intercultural communication titled -- Intercultural Communication and Working in Diverse Groups: Advanced Training. It's free to members of the IMPRS-IS community.
The IMPRS-IS Soft Skills Seminar Series team, will be hosting a full-day workshop on Tuesday, February 23, titled — Intercultural Communication and Working in Diverse Groups
The trainer for this workshop will be Maike Trost. Some of you may already know Maike, as she works with the International Office and Human Resources department at our MPI-IS Stuttgart Campus. Maike is also a certified workshop trainer, earning this certification from Freie University in Berlin. She trains mainly on topics such as intercultural communication and cultural competence, and we are very grateful to have her share her expertise with our community.
Here is a short note from Maike to tell you more about the workshop:
The International Max Planck Research School for Intelligent Systems (IMPRS-IS) is a highly intercultural and diverse working place, and we are absolutely proud of it!
But what is actually happening when two people from totally different cultures are communicating with each other? … And why does it happen to be so irritating sometimes?
In order to avoid irritation or misunderstandings we have to understand how intercultural communication works. You want to increase your ability to recognize and to respond to cultural differences?
Then you should definitely join this workshop!
**This workshop is planned to take place at either our MPI-IS Stuttgart or Tübingen campus (exact times and event location TBD). We will follow all MPI-IS safety guidelines pertaining to COVID-19. If needed, we will postpone and reschedule this in-person event. This will be determined at time nearer to the event.
This is a free workshop for members of our community. Please register at your earliest convenience via the registration button below.
